Joel Polachek

 Joel Polachek is currently in private practice as a psychotherapist.  He went back to school in 2011 and earned a masters degree in clinical psychology at Antioch University Los Angeles in 2015.  Joel did his clinical training at the Maple Counseling Center.  Joel currently serves on the Bioethics committee at Kaiser WLA and continues in the role at Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena. 


Prior to his new career, Joel was in the real estate investment and management field in the private sector for 20 years and later public school facilities at LAUSD.  Joel's previous non-profit experience includes 25+ years on the board of ALA, an organization that develops affordable housing alternatives for seniors and a shorter stint on the board of the Friends of the Schindler House.


In his free time, Joel enjoys golf and gardening and traveling with his wife Elaine.
