The Heart Touch Method is a hands-on palliative care training program in Santa Monica that teaches comfort care and end-of-life support through compassionate touch. This heart-centered course provides a safe space for sharing, mindfulness, and awareness while offering a truly transformative learning experience, through experiential activities, group dialogue, and guided touch techniques, participants gain a practical toolkit for supporting patients or loved ones facing serious or terminal illness, throughout the weekend training, you’ll deepen your understanding of the physical and emotional challenges hospice and palliative care patients face. The Heart Touch Method emphasizes presence, empathy, and human connection , helping caregivers, massage therapists, nurses, and volunteers apply comfort care principles in real-world hospice and palliative settings.
CEUs are available to massage therapists, RNs, LVNs, CNAs, HHAs, and chaplains. By the end of the program, you’ll have the confidence and skills to deliver meaningful care that touches both the heart and spirit of those in need.
Training Benefits and CEUs
Upon completion of the Heart Touch Method training, you'll earn 16 CEUs (continuing education units) and gain professional skills in hospice volunteering, dementia care, and emotional healing through therapeutic touch, a practice designed to touch the heart as well as the body.Heart Touch Project is approved by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB) as a continuing education Approved Provider (450864-08), by the California Board of Registered Nursing as a Continuing Education Provider CEP 13426, as well as NAC#1247 by the CDPH, and approved by the Board of Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians as a continuing education Approved Provider (V10953).
This program may be used for continuing education credits for members of the Association of Professional Chaplains. This record shall be retained by the CNA or HHA for a period of four (4) years starting from the date of enrollment. You will receive 16 CEU's for this course.
