The Heart Touch Method
The Heart Touch Method teaches heart-centered techniques for working with terminally ill individuals. This compassionate care training offers a truly heart touching experience that has touched hearts worldwide, promoting healing and deep connection for patients and caregivers.
The Heart Touch Method provides a safe space for sharing, contemplation, and cultivating awareness. Through experiential activities, group conversations, and hands-on touch techniques, this course will give you a toolkit for working with patients or loved ones facing serious illness.
Throughout the weekend training, you’ll deepen your understanding of the physical and emotional challenges hospice and palliative care patients face. this comfort touch course inspires presence and connection through compassionate, heart touching care, the kind of experience that leaves patients feeling heart touched and supported.
This program is for anyone interested in volunteering or increasing their knowledge. CEUs are available to massage therapists, RNs, LVNs, CNAs, HHAs, and chaplains.
Training Benefits and CEUs
Upon completion of the Heart Touch Method training, you'll earn 16 CEUs (continuing education units) and gain professional skills in hospice volunteering, dementia care, and emotional healing through therapeutic touch, a practice designed to touch the heart as well as the body.Heart Touch Project is approved by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB) as a continuing education Approved Provider (450864-08), by the California Board of Registered Nursing as a Continuing Education Provider CEP 13426, as well as NAC#1247 by the CDPH, and approved by the Board of Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians as a continuing education Approved Provider (V10953).
This program may be used for continuing education credits for members of the Association of Professional Chaplains. This record shall be retained by the CNA or HHA for a period of four (4) years starting from the date of enrollment. You will receive 16 CEU's for this course.

No prior massage or medical experience is needed to attend this training.
Training Cost and scholarships
Training Schedule
The Heart Touch Method Training Program costs $400 due with an application. Partial scholarships ($200) are available to those who commit to a minimum of one year of volunteer service with one of our partner organizations.
The Heart Touch Method Training Program is held multiple times a year (check out our full calendar) at The Heart Touch Project Training Room and is based on the schedule below.
