Your time can make a significant difference in people's lives. Providing compassionate care and empathetic touch to those who are medically fragile or at the end stages of their life is done through the efforts of ordinary people that do extraordinary things. Our volunteers are the heart and soul of our organization who have a profound sense of compassion, wanting to share their gift of touch with others. From NICU volunteer opportunities to volunteering with hospice, every act of service provides comfort to individuals who are ill, isolated, or hospitalized. If you are called to this work, we welcome you to join our community of care.
TOUCH VOLUNTEERS
Interested in enriching lives? Become a touch volunteer for The Heart Touch Project. We offer a variety of training programs that teach and train volunteers the skills and sensitivities needed to serve medically fragile and terminally ill men, women and children, improving the lives for them, their families and their caregivers. You do not need to be a trained or licensed therapist to volunteer for this opportunity

Are you interested in becoming a fundraising volunteer? This role is both rewarding and fun. Our fundraising team helps raise the funds needed to serve patients each year through events, campaigns, and outreach.
BOARD MEMBER VOLUNTEERS
Serving on a board is a wonderful way to support a cause that you care about. But it also can be a powerful way to build your own skills and expertise. Individuals who serve on a our board have the opportunity to develop and grow as leaders, cultivate new skill sets, and expand their network of peers, professionals, and community thought leaders.
OFFICE HELP VOLUNTEERS
We welcome office and general administration volunteers to help us at the Heart Touch Project office. You can help by regularly supporting our founder, Shawnee Isaac Smith, being assigned to a project or by being 'on call' to come and help when needed. We're always on the lookout for people who have some or all of the following skills:
Database entry
MS Office - Excel, Word, Powerpoint
Great phone manner
General office tasks: photocopying, sorting, filing, sorting mail, etc.
We provide clear instructions for projects/assignments and there is always someone nearby to answer questions or help. We don't expect our office volunteers to be experts, just willing to learn and commit to helping our team
MARKETING VOLUNTEERS
Currently we are looking for marketing, social media and public relations volunteers to help support us in the following ways:
Marketing Volunteers
Assist with marketing projects to designing and executing marketing collateral/materials.
Social Media Volunteer
Help us stay in touch, spread the news about who we are to sharing our stories of the lives we touch.
PR Volunteers
Develop communications/messaging for newsletters, web, marketing collateral, promotional materials, press release, etc. Assist in looking for media opportunities/coverage.
