Infant Massage Training for
Medical Staff

Course Description

This course is designed to provide nurses and other Neonatal Intensive Care Unit staff with the skills required to provide mindful, caring touch and basic massage to infants in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Using demonstrations, experiential exercises, lectures and group sharing, participants learn a mindful, compassionate approach to caring touch in working with these fragile newborns.

The course is taught by Heart Touch facilitators who supply all demonstration models, instructional supplies and materials.

Course Prerequisite

Current employment as a medical caregiver in a hospital’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

Schedule

  • 8:00 am to 12:00 pm or 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm

Hosting Requirements

The training is held at the host medical facility, which agrees to provide a room with tables, chairs and a white board. A minimum of ten participants is required.

Fee

The fee for the training is $500.00, but may increase based on facilitator travel and associated costs.
