As a Heart Touch client, you have the right to:
- Receive high quality, sensitive, touch massage in a clean and safe environment at no cost
- Have your individual and therapeutic needs honored and addressed (within the parameters of our ability to provide services)
- Clear communication from the Heart Touch Project concerning organizational policies, procedures, changes in services, etc.
- Be treated courteously, professionally and with respect, by all Heart Touch staff and volunteers
- Confidentiality, i.e., the maintenance and respect of any personal information relating to you and your Heart Touch services
- Open communication with Heart Touch staff and volunteers concerning any issues you have, or changes you feel are appropriate in receipt of your services, or interactions with Heart Touch representatives
As a Heart Touch client, you have the responsibility to:
- Provide, to the best of your ability, a clean and safe environment in which to receive massage services, including attention to personal hygiene
- Abstain from the use of recreational drugs, including alcohol, during and immediately prior to Heart Touch massage treatments and interactions with Heart Touch volunteers and staff
- Be prompt and present for all scheduled appointments and treatments, and to notify Heart Touch or the appropriate representative as soon as possible of health or other conditions which may prevent you from attending those appointments or treatments
- Conform to all Heart Touch policies and procedures
- Treat all Heart Touch staff and volunteers with courtesy and professional respect
- Communicate with Heart Touch concerning your changing therapeutic needs, such as a significant change in health or mobility
- Notify Heart Touch staff of changes which may affect your interaction with the agency, such as change of address or telephone number, change in mental health status, roommates moving in or out.
