What is the Heart Touch Project? The Heart Touch Project is a non-profit, educational and service organization devoted founded in response to the need to deliver compassionate and healing touch to home or hospital-bound men, women and children.
Who is eligible to receive massage services? Any non-ambulatory person with AIDS, senior citizens, persons receiving hospice care, infants and children at participating facilities are eligible to receive services. The only other requirement is that one has the approval of their primary health provider to insure that the massage is not contraindicated for their condition.
What is the cost? Services are free of charge. Clients who are able to afford these services are encouraged to make a donation. Anyone wishing to make a donation may call Heart Touch or complete the donation application. Donations are greatly appreciated and are tax deductible.
What geographic areas does Heart Touch serve? Heart Touch has trained practitioners in Southern California from L.A., Ventura, Orange and the Inland Empire Counties. Services for senior citizens and children are provided in contracted senior residences and children’s health care facilities. Heart Touch is looking to expand by holding training's in other locations throughout the nation.
How can I arrange to receive touch therapy services? To receive touch therapy services contact the Heart Touch office at (310) 391-2558. We will send you an application. Upon receipt of your completed application you will be assigned the next available professional volunteer or appointment. The schedule of services will be determined at that time.
