Massage Therapy Continuing Education Classes
 

Since 1995, The Heart Touch™ Project has been dedicated to providing the therapeutic, curative and palliative benefits of professional bodywork to vulnerable populations through the art of compassionate touch massage therapy. We pride ourselves on providing the highest quality of massage therapy continuing education classes, training workshops and educational programs to bodywork and massage practitioners, nurses and healthcare professionals.

Our training workshops and educational programs are conducted by qualified healthcare providers and professional group facilitators. These programs are designed to meet the learning needs of a wide range of audiences including bodywork and massage practitioners, nurses and healthcare professionals interested in enhancing their professional skills.

We provide comprehensive and innovative training in a nurturing environment which allows trainees to learn to provide the highest level of compassionate care to men, women and children.
 
Heart Touch™ 3 Day Volunteer Training

A transformative 3-day training designed to equip new Heart Touch™ volunteers with the knowledge and strategies they need to serve a severely ill client with compassionate touch therapy. Space is limited.

Instructors: Include Shawnee Isaac Smith, Founder, The Heart Touch™ Project and facilitator Camille Harris. There will be several notable keynote speakers from the medical community.

Children’s Massage Training

This 2-day training is for Heart Touch™ Volunteers interested in learning more about working with children with special medical conditions and in hospice care.

Certified Infant Massage Instructor Certification (CIMI®)
August 22 - 24/ 2008
 

This workshop will train and certify participants to become Certified
Infant Massage Instructors (CIMI®) who in turn teach parents and
caregivers to massage their babies.

To maintain the high quality of classes we provide to parents we require
our instructors to complete the Certified Infant Massage Instructor
(CIMI®) process. Each CIMI® must attend the 3 day training,
complete an exam and demonstrate their competence by teaching parent
classes.
