  Shawnee Isaac Smith
  President/SMHAC; Founder/The Heart Touch™ Project
  Seeing the need for AIDS patients to be touched by the hands and hearts of others, Ms. Isaac-Smith founded The Heart Touch™ Project in 1993, and became Executive Director of the organization.

Her professional work consists of an independent practice as a Certified Rolf Practitioner at Santa Monica Healing Arts, Inc. With a background in public administration and hospital administration, Ms. Isaac-Smith has served as a consultant and administrator in a number of health care settings, and is listed in Who's Who in Service to the World and was recently nominated for an Outstanding Founders Award on National Philanthropy Day. Ms. Isaac-Smith continues to gain inspiration from the caring volunteers and grateful clients of Heart Touch™.

   
  Rene Russo
  Actress/Spokesperson
  In addition to being a successful model and actress René Russo is well known for her philanthropic endeavors and is an advocate for many children’s causes. René is a founding Board Member and the Spokesperson for The Heart Touch Project.
   
  Zev Braun
  Producer/President, Braun Entertainment Group
  A filmmaker for more than 30 years, Mr. Braun's work has won the Golden Globe and New York Film Critics awards and has been nominated twice for an Academy Award. Mr. Braun is a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences, as well as the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.

His volunteer activities include serving on the Board of Directors for The American Foundation for AIDS Research and the Albert B. Sabin Vaccine Institute at Georgetown University. Mr. Braun has devoted his fundraising and organizational abilities along with his passion about AIDS-related issues to helping expand the work of Heart Touch™.

   
  Juliana Bancroft
  President, Paisley Lane Inc.
  Juliana Bancroft has spent the last 28 years in the hotel and restaurant business. From 1979 she helped to build Kimpton Hotel and Restaurant Group, Inc. based in San Francisco, a premier boutique hotel and restaurant company. She served in mulitiple capacities including Vice President, Corporate Secretary, member of the Board of Directors and Southern California Regional Director.

Since 1995 Ms. Bancroft has been involved in developing and operating her own hotel and restaurant properties, including Hotel La Jolla, located in Southern California, which was sold in 2006.

Prior to entering the hospitality industry Ms. Bancroft received an M.S. in psychology form the University of Oregon and a B.S. from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.

   
  Ahmos Netanel
  Ahmos Netanel is President of Lucrative Wellness Inc., an international spa consulting corporation. Ahmos received his MBA from USC where he was named Alumni Entrepreneur of the year. Mr. Netanel founded one of the first day spas in southern California-The Massage Therapy Center and is past president of the American Massage Therapy Association.

  Monica M. Quinn, Esq.
 

Monica M. Quinn is senior counsel in Allen Matkins Leck Gamble Mallory & Natsis’ Los Angeles office, where she practices in the Labor and Employment Law Department.  She handles all employment disputes including wrongful termination, harassment, discrimination, retaliation, constructive discharge, and other employment-related matters at all levels of state and federal court.  She also defends employers before administrative agencies, such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Department of Fair Employment and Housing and the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board, and in arbitration proceedings. 

Her employment law counseling practice includes providing advice on employee handbooks and policies, training, wage and hour issues, employee discipline, trade secret issues, drug and alcohol testing, privacy, leave issues, harassment and discrimination laws, and all other areas of personnel administration.  Monica has also conducted management and employee seminars and training on discrimination and harassment issues. 

Monica is currently a member of the State Bar of California, the Labor and Employment Law Section of the American Bar Association, and the Employment Law Section of the Los Angeles County Bar Association.

Prior to joining Allen Matkins, Monica was an associate with the Orange County office of Paul Hastings Janofsky & Walker LLP and a member of the firm’s employment litigation practice. 

   
  Sharyn Alcaraz, Esq.
  Attorney
  Sharyn Alcaraz has fourteen years of experience as a practicing attorney in both private and corporate practice. Ms. Alcaraz has held the office of General Counsel, Corporate Secretary for two organizations generating more than $175 million in annual revenue, including a Los Angeles hospital system.

Ms. Alcaraz has always believed in community service. She graduated from the Riordan Volunteer Leadership Development Program and has volunteered and served with other non-profit and community service organizations in Los Angeles.
   
  Tania Nicholls, CPA
  Tania Nicholls is a qualified chartered accountant with PriceWaterhouseCoopers. She has served the insurance and banking industry as well as not-for-profit entities worldwide and has held positions in South Africa, London (UK), Toronto, Vancouver, Houston, Chicago and now Los Angeles.

Her expertise is in the areas of general management, financial accounting, risk assessment, IT system analysis, and financial reporting.

   
  Danielle Bialek Perry
  Marketing Director
  With over 13 years experience in Marketing and Competitive Strategy, Ms. Bialek Perry has served as a healthcare specialist for a prominent financial services firm and has worked with some of the largest firms in the entertainment industry on building competitive strategy. In addition to being quoted by the press on hospital consolidation, she has spoken at several industry conferences. Ms. Bialek Perry has an MBA in International Marketing and Trade.

Ms. Bialek Perry's commitment to volunteerism began over 20 years ago as a volunteer at St. John's Hospital in Santa Monica. Thereafter she served on numerous international projects including participating as a workcamp volunteer in Spain and as a co-creator of an international business plan on re-purposing biomass waste as a low-cost wood replacement. Additionally she has been active internationally in the Rotary Club, participating in a project to share best business practices in South America. Ms. Bialek Perry currently also serves as an altruism chairperson supporting a domestic violence charity in the South Bay.
   
  Eric S. Daar, M.D.
  Medical Advisor
  Dr. Daar is director of the AIDS Program at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center as well as being an Associate Professor at U.C.L.A. He brings to his advisory and educational role with Heart Touch™ an ongoing engagement in research for new AIDS treatments, wide experience in lecturing before a variety of community groups, and multiple honors for his teaching and warm bedside manner with patients. Dr. Daar has reported that many of his patients find massage Therapy has helped to relieve the discomfort of AIDS symptoms.
   
  Georgia Noble, Ed.D.
  Curriculum Advisor
  A licensed marriage and family therapist with a doctorate in counseling, Ms. Noble specializes in family systems and their impact on the individual. Along with Executive Director Shawnee Isaac-Smith, she co-leads the trainings for new Heart Touch™ volunteers. Using her experience in a range of other group settings, Ms. Noble helps volunteers to address the emotional issues that arise in their work and draw insight from one another. She gains great satisfaction from helping volunteers and, by extension, their clients, become connected to a very caring community.

  Daniel Oshiro, MA
  Grants and Funding Advisor
  The Vice President of Administrative Affairs at the Gladstone Institutes, Dan Oshiro previously served as Administrative Director of the Burns and Allen Research Institute at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and as Vice President of Grants and Contracts at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, where he set up that facility's first grants and contracts office. Mr. Oshiro is a founding board member of The Heart Touch™ Project and he has been eager to use his professional experience to help find and develop funding opportunities as well as initiate groundbreaking research in the field of touch therapy.
   
  William Zeltonoga, Esq.
  Legal Advisor
Practice in California and D.C.
An attorney with a background in litigation, securities corporate, and entertainment law, Mr. Zeltonoga provides business and legal counsel so businesses that include Gold's Gym and Golphology. Not only is Mr. Zeltonoga a Rhodes Scholar, he was awarded the Bronze Star and Joint Staff Commendation Medal for his service in the Army Armor Corps. A strong believer in community service, Mr. Zeltonoga is a volunteer at the Union Rescue Mission, and is pleased that Heart Touch™ can benefit from his legal and business expertise.Board
